UNC Feeding Team Approach: We use a medical/nutritional, motor, and behavioral approach to pediatric feeding problems. Medical and nutritional strategies are used to help your child feel comfortable and support your child’s best eating. We pay close attention to growth and nutrition and want to make sure your child is getting everything they need for a healthy body. Therapy helps to ensure safe swallowing and to help improve your child’s feeding skills.

Our core team includes:

  • Pediatric GI
  • Pediatric speech pathology
  • Pediatric nutrition

The whole team sees your child together each visit and develop a plan based on our evaluations.  We have two locations, the NC Children’s Hospital in Chapel Hill and the Children’s Outpatient Clinic at Rex Hospital in Raleigh.

    • Please call 984-974-8872 and our staff can help to guide you in steps to take to get to be seen here if you are in the area. There is an excellent program at St Joseph’s Feeding and Swallowing Center in New Jersey that we recommend and may be more reasonable for ongoing care. Best of luck!

  2. My teenager has been having trouble eating for over 2 years. Throwing up almost daily, stomach pain, with multiple other symptoms. We have been going to doctors and no one knows why. Can you help with teens?
